I also have done papers on Thomas Hobbes and from my understanding Hobbes's state of nature is the situation that we would be resorted to were there no state control.Hobbes invisages a society completely devoid of a controlling force which in his opinion would result in destruction as the human race would resort to violence to solve their problems instead of having a leader to make the decisions/solutions for them.Hobbes ideal state would be'the rule of one'. A monarchy dictatorship but only but concent, Hobbes didn't believe in devine right. Therefore Hobbes state of nature is not a desired situation to have to resort to.
