: An excellent introduction to the classical art of memory may be found in Dame Frances Yates book "The Art of Memory"

: You're probably already aware of this but I thought I'd mention it anyway!

:
: : I don't know if it is taught. If you want to find out, read the book. There is a translation now into English.
: : I do not know where to get the book. If you ever find out then be kind to tell me.
: : The methods work! I tried them.

:
: : : I have read a little of "De Oratore", but what I am really interested in is the pseudo-Ciceronian work "Rhetorica Ad Herrenium" and the lost art of memory the book descibes (so I've read). Is there anyone who can tell me if this art is still practiced/taught in the classical fashion? To learn an art of memory so powerful that one can remember a host of books down to the last word is truly a divine accomplishment, one which I hope to attempt. However, one cannot do everything on one's own. Please help me, somebody!!!
