I have just purchased a very unusual copy of this book. It is hand singed by George Eliot, and dated 1908
It also has a picture that seems to be glued to the cover of this hard cover book. It is a picture of a lady wearing a fur coat. and in her hands
are the paws of whatever the coat is made of. Could you please tell me, why this book is the way it is. Again the only date on this book is hand written
by the signature. 1908.
