hello brother,the book is about ancient rites past on into the present,mainly mortals interacting with gods,and the sucession of the mortals of this interaction by asination.you would by king or high priest for,say,5 yrs then u would be asinated by your successor.Kurtz,in the movie,must have read this book,as most scholars have,and took his ancient path.heart of darkness,read it.i'm in NELSON,B.C.,HOME OF SHAMBHALA.peace
