This is a common feature of Greek drama, so let's hope I get this right. :)

The strophe and the antistrophe were two stanzas of a choral ode (stasimon), both written in the same meter, that dealt with one particular theme or part of a theme. They were set up so that it worked as a sort of point-counterpoint piece; that is, the antistrophe was a response to the strophe. A good example of this would be the second half of the last choral ode in the Alkestis, if you've ever read that. The strophe talks about how Admetos cannot resist death and that his wife is lost to Death forever, while the antistrophe talks of how she will not be forgotten but worshipped as a patron goddess.

I hope that helps.
