What an incredible story of love and grief! Euripides portrays tough issues with such compelling grace and talent. I couldn't believe the power of the scene where Alcestis "dies" in Admetus' arms! It seemed so controversial for a man to let his wife die for him, but you couldn't help feeling his loss. wow!
