OK I'm an Idiot, and I know it, but I read this story a long long time ago but I don't remember the name...Please Help!!
. As I remember it, a young nobleman is introduced to a dark-haired country girl in order to lose his ity and maintain his demeanor until marriage. He is engaged to what is considered by his times to be the perfect woman: fair haired and skinned, weak, timid, etc. Every time he leaves the country girl he swears he will never see her again. But his body fails him and he goes back, time after time. He hastens his marriage thinking this will "cure" him. Of course, it does not and he becomes a bit unstable trying to stay away from the lively country girl.
