I always hear & called it the "The chapter of Doubting Thomas". When Jesus was walking with the disciples he told of People coming after him saying they are Christ. John, one of the disciples was the revelator, who wrote Revelation, talking about the Anti-Christ. : Thomas loved Jesus... And in my personal view point I think Thomas didnt want to be fooled by someone saying they were Christ when they werent. And Jesus knew this this is why he asked him to touch his hands. Then verse 28 says it all. : You also asked a question about how can the bible be the true word of God? One is the Bible prophecy... In the Old Testament there were so many prophecies fulfilled, like in Isaiah 7:14 on the subject of to be born of a , then in Luke 1:26,27,30,31 it is fulfilled : In Zechariah 11:12 on the subject of betrayed for 30 pieces of silver, now read Luke 22:47,48 : Let me ask you to read these verses, They are all in Romans : Romans 3:10 : Romans 3:23 : Romans 5:12 : Romans 6:23 : Romans 5:8 : Romans 9-13 : They may help you understand Christianity : Take care. : WL : : The comment or question that I have left open for discussion is regarding a page in the new testament which is found in the gospel according to St. Matthew chapter 28 verse 17 where the verse is (something to the effect) "they saw him and worshiped him but some doubted" I'm saying that how is that possible, if his deciples saw him for three years and after being presumed dead he returns after three days they cannot recognize him? what may i ask is your response for that to simply clarify. : : I also had another question regarding the new testament because i am studying christianity in terms of my possible way of life and the question is that is the bible the true word of god.
